FICTION is a surreal multi-sensory installation similar to an amusement park or theme museum; a place of entertainment and at the same time of reflection. With surprising settings and characters, a red curtain marks the entrance to the space and thus begins an experience linked to the world of entertainment, stage theater and contemplation.
The performance can be divided into three Acts. The story tells of the Boogeyman, who has been kidnapping several characters painted by the artist French on walls in the city of Córdoba, to take them to the Caraffa Museum and deposit them there, where they will be recreated as scenery. Labyrinths and caverns, carousel and theater, are some of the settings where these fictitious and cartoonish characters will live.
The execution of FICCION was very similar to film production: it included scenery, set decoration, lighting, mural painting, and cinema. A large team of professionals from different trades and disciplines participated in the process of generating it, and all of them have witnessed its evolution.
FICTION obliges us to dive into the ideas that it arouses rather than the figures and backgrounds. It is a wise construction that mixes romanticism, police intrigue, cynicism, sarcasm, melancholy, sadness and humor. Going through it guarantees an unforgettable playful experience.
